On July 18, the Audubon Society of Northern Virginia published an article about some very good environmental developments at Reston National Golf Course.
The reality we face is that the golf course owners, Weller Development Company and War Horse Cities, paid $23.75 million for this land designated as open space — a price that makes sense only if they can develop it. We have information from reliable sources telling us that Scott Plank, founder of War Horse Cities, has stated that he wants to develop the golf course. On April 28, Weller Development’s Kevin Sadowski told the Rescue Reston board that his only focus currently is RNGC.
Restonians’ commitment to #NoCompPlanChange will keep RNGC a very successful, environmentally-friendly golf course.
