The BoS showed today a respect for Reston’s long history of careful planning.
We are pleased that the Site Specific Plan Amendment on the Reston National Golf Course Property was completely removed from the County’s 2025 SSPA Work Program.
However, the Cooley law firm, representing NVR, Inc. and War Horse Cities, filed a by-right development claim with the County on June 5. This Development Plan Amendment was attached to the SSPA package that Cooley started this year. It is a rehash of what was attempted in 2012, led then by Cooley’s attorney Mark Looney. We will wait to see what the Zoning Administrator and County attorneys have to say about the validity of this DPA.
We support and respect the knowledge and research of the Fairfax County staff and attorneys. Stay strong. We have faith in the County staff and attorneys on this matter.
