Attorneys representing the owners of Reston National Golf Course have submitted a Site Specific Plan Amendment in an effort to modify the Comprehensive Plan to permit housing development. In addition, they have proposed a separate amendment to the PRC Plan. The developers and their land use attorneys assert they have the right to build 288 townhomes on part of the property, despite both proposals contradicting the County Comprehensive Plan for Reston.
It is worth noting that the owners of the North Course, Hidden Creek, use the same law firm and land use attorney, Mark Looney, Cooley LLC.

County planners and Supervisor Alcorn’s office want your feedback. Don’t miss this chance.
Two additional SSPA applications for other properties will be presented that evening. On April 1st, four other SSPA nominations will be discussed, followed by another four on April 8.* Reston has many approved housing plans coming already, and these 11 applications aim to add even more. Don’t sacrifice Reston’s limited open space!
What you can do:
