The communication had a positive effect because ARA Newmark quickly changed the listing from a colorful ad announcing that “168 Acres of By-Right Residential Development” is for sale to an ad that includes a due diligence disclaimer (view old and new ads here).

It’s important that developers’ attorneys continue calling Rescue Reston’s attorney asking about the history of the legal case and how that ruling affects the mythical “development options” that Northwestern Mutual alludes to. The more that we can convince these speculators that it will be extremely difficult to change the land use designation, the better the chance that a good steward of the land will be able to purchase it.
